Robert Dover: Passive vs Active Seat (The braced back)
Robert Dover: Passive vs Active Seat (The braced back)
Understanding the impact the seat has when riding your horse can be a tricky variable in riding dressage. And is likely to change when you change from horse to horse. However, the effectiveness of your seat needs to remain, regardless of horse and or the exercise you are trying to complete.
In this video Robert Dover talks about the seat as a driving aid in dressage. The difference between and active and passive seat, also known as the braced back, and how it impacts your horse.
This video was filmed at the Robert Dover Horsemastership Program 2016 in Wellington Florida at the Global Dressage Festival.
