This year we have talked a lot on Dressage Hub about the corruption happening behind the scenes in dressage. While some people choose to ignore it, that does not mean it is not happening.
Today we are going to take a closer look at an article by Euro Dressage. Buried deep down at the bottom of the article she talks about Inessa Merkulova riding in an illegal bit in the grand prix. The curb bit that Innessa Merkulova was riding Mister X in was too high in the curb and was outside of the allowed parameters for thickness.
The steward alerted the judge at C, Francis Verbeek Van Rooij. The judge at C did not eliminate Innessa Merkulova for the use of illegal equipment.
The system is broken
What happens now? As riders do we accept that the rules do not apply?
