Robert Dover: Breaking Down the Braced Back
We often hear instructors talk about the seat and leg aids, but timing and effectiveness is where it all gets very very complicated. In this video we have a moment of shop talk with Olympic team coach Robert Dover, he breaks down the timing, feeling and use of the leg and seat aids in having an effect braced back or still seat in the art of riding dressage. This is most effectively used in a moment of half half. This breaks down a split second of time while riding your horse. Keep that in mind when you find you are tight and a bit too braced, then go back to an active and moving seat with your horse. So watch and learn from the master himself!

This video was filmed at the Robert Dover Horsemastership Program in Wellington, Florida in 2017.
