0

I am not gonna lie, even I was surprised with the answer! When I started riding dressage I was told that a horse foaming at the mouth was a good thing. It is a sign of them chewing the bit softly and accepting the contact. Recent studies, combined with science would argue that is not the case.

This year we have opened a whole new can of worms by talking about the top riders using marshmallow fluff or marshmallow paste to cover up contact issues and blue tongues. The white foam aesthetic appeals to the judges because we have all been told that foam is a good thing.
